Water
Bottled
Water
Clearly
bottled water has become a big industry. Maybe I am tight but
I
have a real issue about buying water! There is also the added
environmental issue that it comes in a plastic bottle. Als I have
an issue with paying for water when we have it freely available when so
many people around the world do not. I now
carry a metal Sigg drink bottle that I can refill and use forever.
Saves me money and plastic! You can get Sigg and other metal
drinks bottles from camping and outdoor shops. They are well
built and last a lifetime.
If you want to buy bottled water look out for Belu (you can get it from Waitrose and Tesco amongst other places), not
only does it come in a naturally biodegradable bottle it is made by a
non for profit organsiation and all revenue goes to water projects
around the world!
Toilet
Water Saver
Most
toilet cisterns use more water than they actually need. You
can
save water by putting a brick (or half a brick) in to the cistern and
this will not impact the flush at all but will save water.
Some
modern toilets now have a 'eco' short flush that does similar in a more
complicated way.
Shower Instead Of Bath
A shower only
uses 2/3 of a bath.
