Not soon enough....

At last plans to phase out the traditional light bulb in the UK!   More details here.  More details on lightbulbs and where to get halogen energy efficient replacements are in the Living Room section.  So how many traditional light bulbs do you have in your house?  They are only 10% efficient, the rest goes in to producing heat (OK for the winter but not an efficient way of generating heat!).   You can save a packet my moving to energy efficient bulbs.

We have no traditional light bulbs and cannot remember the last time we needed to change a bulb! They are great! Can't understand people who moan about them - makes me want to screm 'It's the planet for god's sake!'

I know, people have this preconception that they are useless but that have improved so much over the years.
